We are seeking qualified personnel with experience in
the power industry to be part our team that will design and manage the
construction of two Greenfield 1,800 MW gas-turbine power plants in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Purpose
Manage and coordinate communication and security
engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient,
cost effective and timely manner.
Act as primary technical co-ordination interface with
client to ensure that the client’s expectations are satisfied.
Ensure the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis
of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements
Responsibilities
HSE Management
Actively support the WorleyParsons One-Way program and
ensure there is a HSE focus within the team to ensure OHSE requirements
including those documents required in design and procurement
activities.
Demonstrate behaviour and business practices
commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental
performance.
Assist in developing, communicating, implementing and
regularly review systems, strategies, standards and processes (including
environmental plans or health management programs)
Client Relationships
Establish, maintain and build healthy client relationships.
Proactively resolve performance, scope and schedule issues
with the Client as they arise.
Identify, document, communicate and meet the client’s
requirements
Commercial Management
Effectively manage assigned budgets within WorleyParsons’
total scope.
Scope Management
Ensure compliance with WPMP procedures.
Ensure compliance with requirements of the contract.
Apply effective change control process.
Time Management
Contribute to the development of overall project schedule.
Supervise work in accordance with the approved schedule
Cost Control
Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control
and forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost
overruns.
Quality Management
Contribute to compliance with WorleyParsons policies and
procedures.
Utilise, as appropriate, strong working knowledge of
WorleyParsons engineering and procurement systems and procedures.
Team Management
Focus the relevant team members on achievement of
milestones and other key project objectives.
Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves
problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.
Communications Management
Regularly provide clear reports to project management.
Effective communication with the design team and third
parties.
Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project
Manager.
Risk Management
Monitor the closure of all identified risks and
opportunities and visibly support risk identification and mitigation
throughout the project.
Design Management
Set clear objectives to the design team, including
achieving productivity and budget targets.
Ensure the design team aware of, and complies with,
client’s Basis of Design and apply regulations and codes.
Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
Procurement/Subcontracts Management
Assess procurement processes throughout the project to
ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.
Technical and Industry Experience
Substantial technical, practical and leadership experience
in communications and security
6 to 8 years project engineering experience on projects
with associated commercial and contractual experience
Experience in managing projects in the Power industry for
Generation, Transmission and Distribution
Demonstrates ability to co-ordinate communications and
security and provide competent supervision
Proven ability to obtain client confidence in project
engineering supervisory skills.
Able to inspire others by genuinely caring about their
development through the effective transfer of knowledge and mentoring other
engineers
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
A minimum of 10 years’ experience with international EPC
contractors including 6 to 8 years project engineering experience.
A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant engineering
discipline; management, project management or supervisory qualifications or
equivalent

The work is in support of Saudi Aramco's offshore existing
field development program. A typical year's work will result in over USD
1billion worth of capital investment and in excess of 1,000,000 man hours of
engineering and construction support.The scope of the work covered is
construction bid package preparation, material take-off and requisitioning and
leading to complete construction detail engineering design and drawings.
Specific
Accountabilities:
Initiate and Oversee Electrical design engineering activities
within the project
Perform Electrical engineering design duties:
Duties will include equipment selection and
specification, detail design in collaboration with designers and bid
evaluation/ vendor document review and approval.
Direct and coordinating the specialist electrical
engineering and drafting design team.
Liaise with other project disciplines·
Modifications to Cause and Effect diagrams and Functional
definition of required Process Control & Safety systems
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the
provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the
Business Unit.
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working
practices for the Business Unit.
Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
At least 8+ Years plus experience in Electrical engineering.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritisation of work
to achieve them.
Strong technical background in either Electrical or
Instrument Engineering (with knowledge of the other discipline).
Working knowledge codes and standards.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate
performance as a team leader desirable.
Dynamic and enthusiastic approach is essential.
Professional/Chartered engineer preferred
Substantial experience in detail design.
Aramco experience is an advantage.
High voltage experience 69 KVI.
